Painting & Plaster Pro

We got this recommendation from an online housing forum for a guy named Jose that did quality paint jobs for $150 a day. We decided to call him for our tenant’s apartment and this guy really came through.

Within minutes of hanging up the phone, he came to our place and
presented himself as a friendly professional who takes pride in his work.

Specifically, the tenants apartment needed a good paint job pretty badly. When he got up there he showed us a few crevices in the walls and ceilings where the sheetrock meets. Apparently, whoever put the sheetrock up before missed an important step: plastering. He explained that we would first have to plaster to even out the walls and the ceilings and then he could do a full paint job for each room. He described exactly what we would need and told us he could start the next day. He even came to Home Depot with us to pick out the materials he required to get the job done.
Here are two before pictures that we took. If you look closely, you can see what a terrible job the prior people did. Ick!

Jose showed up promptly at 8am (on a Sunday morning no less!) and got to work
with an assistant of his. We stayed home to check up on their work and were very impressed by how quickly and neatly they got the job done. They stayed until 6pm. The next day he arrived at 8am and finished the entire apartment (using two assistants) by 7:00pm. He ended two days earlier than promised.

Jose is professional, courteous, friendly, hard-working and congenial.
His English is somewhat limited, however, he makes the best efforts to
understand exactly what his clients need. I would highly recommend him
for any plastering or professional painting you need done.

He can be reached at (347) 548-4173. You can tell him that Maya highly recommended him for the great work he did 🙂 I snapped a few shots of the work he did below.

About Maya

I like words like "labyrinthian," "kerfuffle," and "serendipitous" because they're mellifluous. I love poetry, pumpkin ales, sangria, long summer days, Fall foliage, going out of my way to step on crunchy leaves in October, live music, Jazz, Salsa dancing, theater, film (foreign and indie), the arts (myriad varieties), dance (in theory and practice) and any place where I can sit outdoors and take it all in.
