Building Castles in the Air

Hades Takes A WifeRomanticize the world young girl
You will need to, to get by
Fantasize the will you have
For it becomes your drive

Be a sophist and a thinker and a dreamer of your world
Your destination, monumental, if you let the wings unfurl

So take flight
It’s your time
Seize the conquest!
Vanquish it relentlessly
Take no time to rest.

There’s a tiny pitter patter
And it’s coming from my chest
Disarming with it’s charm
Alluring in it’s form
Disrobing at the arm
Exposed and cold…

Now unveiled and vulnerable
Suggestively; a wide-eyed gaze
Innocently innocuous
Destructive in her ways

Wielding her mystique
Oh verboten sanctuary
A temple is unearthed
Key holder, remiss

A Dandelion WishYoung girl, rest your head
Under the starry nighttime haze
Suggestively; again that wide-eyed gaze
Innocence reflected, luminous starry night
Momentarily press gently, close those eyes

Arrested in the moment
Feeling warmth from a glare
Dominate the prize
Let the moment loiter
On and on…
Lingeringly toy her…

Recommence…
Romanticize
Deliquescent from warm glare
Throughout all of time
Building castles in the air

About Maya

I like words like "labyrinthian," "kerfuffle," and "serendipitous" because they're mellifluous. I love poetry, pumpkin ales, sangria, long summer days, Fall foliage, going out of my way to step on crunchy leaves in October, live music, Jazz, Salsa dancing, theater, film (foreign and indie), the arts (myriad varieties), dance (in theory and practice) and any place where I can sit outdoors and take it all in.
